A new bill of rights for patients is starting to take effect, and the worst abuses of the insurance industry are coming to an end. As the President recently announced, the Patient's Bill of Rights will ban rescission of coverage, stop discrimination against children with pre-existing conditions, and place restrictions on annual limits.

The staff, volunteers and board members of the Mattapan School of Technology will put forth a charity event on Sunday, August 8th at the Generations, 81 Memorial Drive, Avon, to raise funds to help the school sustain its current programs, develop two new English classes for victims of Haiti’s earthquake who have obtained temporary protection from the US government and help rebuild the school’s support center in Haiti.

City of Boston MA.-Weekend Traffic Advisory for July 9 - 12, 2010 
A number of special events, including the Procession of Madonna Del Grazie, will be held in Boston this weekend.  Traffic will be delayed and parking will be restricted at various locations.  Drivers coming into the city are urged to drive with caution and watch for pedestrians in the roadway.  Those coming to take part in the festivities are strongly encouraged to use the MBTA.  07/08/10
