intention to embezzle money from them”

Mat
7:1-2 (Phi) "Don't criticize
people, and you will not be criticized.
For you will be judged by the way you
criticize others, and the measure you
give will be the measure you
receive."
In
simple words, no one is above the law
and each man shall be judged with the
same standard that he uses to judges
others.
During the past few weeks,
I’ve become the victim of a series of vicious
slandering allegations; verbal abuse and
discrimination with malicious intent
to create doubt on my character, my faith and
devotion to the church of my Lord Jesus
Christ, by two evildoers Serge Claude
Valme and his associate Pierre Paul Joas.
These
two radio commentators become
furious after I asked one of
them, Pierre Paul Joas to
inform the community about a state
investigation and the shutting down
of a Mortgage Company where he was
a broker. |
The Haitian Radio Vwa Lakay
gang declared war on me. I was even denied
the legitimate right to answer the attacks
despite my repeated requests both verbal
and in writing.
For
many years, Pierre Paul Joas and Serge
Claude Valme have been acting as the grand
adjudicators in the Haitian
community using their radio show as a
court room. Their daily news segment called (Rapo Espesyal) Special report
aired on 1550am, is aimed at disparaging prominent religious
and business leaders to unlawfully force
them to pay for their tranquility.
During
the past 10 years, from 2001 to 2011, I
paid $92,975 to Serge Claude Valme
for his service at Radio
Vwa Lakay, all documented, this amount
does not include gifts and other free professional
services to him and his family. During
all these years, I never gave Serge
Claude Valme an occasion to come to my
office to look for his compensation; I always
handled him a check or cash every week.
I don’t
expect any special treatment because of
my business relationship with Valme. As a
Christian devoted to follow the pathway
of Jesus Christ ,I understand that my Lord
never
makes preference, I will never ask any
one for special favor. However as a long time customer, I expect that if
someone attacks me on the radio I
deserve the right to a
response. It is required by
law when a radio reporter mentioned
the name of any citizen he or she should
have
the fair right to answer. I still have plenty
of time to file a lawsuit against the
radio station if the management refuses
to comply with the law.
A first time Serge Claude Valme plotted
with one of my competitors to launch a series
of vicious attacks aimed at destroying
the reputation of my business because I
refused to donate a $1,800 laptop
as a gift to his daughter. In reality, at that time my wife donated
a brand new Dell Latitude Laptop that cost $800
to Valme’s daughter after graduating
from high school.
A few days later, Valme called me
to tell me that his daughter preferred a
slim Apple tablet that cost $1,800. In the same occasion, my
wife donated 4 other Dell Latitude
laptops to African-American girls as a
graduation gifts to minority students who
planned to attend college. They were so
happy that I felt embarrassed to tell my
wife that Valme’s daughter wanted a
different laptop. In my opinion, a gift
is a gift, if you don't like a gift, you
have to buy your own.
One
evening Valme brought back the gift with hopes of
receiving a more expensive one, I placed
the laptop on my wife’s desk. The next
day, she asked me why the laptop was on
her desk. I told her that was Valme’s
daughter’s gift, Valme wanted to
exchange it for a slim tablet. Then my wife donated the laptop to another
kid who could appreciate it. The next
day, both the father and the mother of
the boy came to the office to thank my
wife. When Valme figured out that he
wasn’t going to get the laptop that
his daughter desired, Valme felt so
upset because we decided not to donate
the $1,800 laptop to his daughter, as a reprisal
he
had his friends calling every week in
his show Kalandabanda (a show where callers
can talk about any subject) to attack my
business. I called him, he told
that I have to buy 10 minutes airtime to answer to
the allegations made by his callers, which
I graciously did, noting tha my company
Town Computer was still a sponsor of
Valme's radio show.
The main logic
behind Valme’s legendary “Rapo Espesyal”
special report is a propaganda tool
used as a mean to intimidate business
and religious leaders with malicious
intent to embezzle money from them”
. When Valme and Joas
become aware of any sting instead of cautioning
their listeners, Their special report
(Rapo Espesyal) puts the information on
incubation (nan kouve) pending the negotiation
of a deal with the perpetrator.
If after a few days, Valme
doesn’t secure a deal from his target,
the concerned individual will receive a
phone call from Joas to inform him that
Valme is about to release the story and
proposes to be the middle man to push
for a fast deal to avoid that from
happening. The deal very often is 30 to 50% of the profit
should go to Vwa Lakay in the form of
advertising or donation. If a deal is
reached, the chicken will die during
incubation and the listeners will never
have a chance to hear that report.
Sometimes
the Vwa Lakay gang members make up erroneous
reports on innocent citizens when money
is desperately needed. Many victims state
they
preferred to pay ransom to Serge under
threat of airing special report about
their business, church or family
relationship to avoid the shame and anxiety that their names being
blasted on the airwaves will cause to
their family. The owner of a local
restaurant in Hyde Park, named Las Vegas
See Food
restaurant, is unwillingly paying a
monthly advertising bill to Radio Vwa
Lakay, a radio that can hardly be heard by his
local customers, he accepted that bitter
arrangement in exchange for
his peaceful mind. Serge used to attack
him every day for more than a year in his
"Ropo Espesyal". Others like business owner
Martin Digital and community activist Sylvan Simon
stood
strong in spite of all and refused to
make any deal with Serge Claude Valme.
Valme
and Joas utilize scare tactics to
intimidate and extort the Haitian
business community. Many businessmen are
obligated to do business with Vwa Lakay
to avoid being persecuted by Pierre Paul
Joas and Serge Claude Valme. The Vwa
Lakay gang is hiding behind the shield
of “Rapo Espesyal” or special
report, to distract the attention of the
community from their own transgressions.
We
have two choices in the Haitian
community, live in fear at the
good grace of Serge Claude Valme and
Pierre Paul Joas or face
the challenge. I, Jacques Dady Jean solemnly
declare that I am ready to take the
challenge. Psalm 24:4 "Even though
I walk through the valley of the shadow
of death, I will fear no evil, for you
are with me; your rod and your staff,
they comfort me" I will carry
my case to the local as well to the
federal authority to stop
this reign of terror and extortion
imposed on the community by Serge Claude Valme and
Pierre Paul Joas, I am doing that
only for the sake of
justice, freedom and liberty.
While
Serge Claude Valme and Pierre Paul Joas
are using every malicious tactic to
terrorize pastors and honest businessmen
in the Haitian community, there is
evidence and mountains of allegations
pointing to both of them due to their
involvement in many ludicrous business
practices and immoral conducts that have
made many victims in the Haitian
community.
I
used to consider Serge Claude Valme as a
good collaborator and a serious
businessman. In light of several pieces
of information; I noticed that there is
nothing in common between my community
vision and Valme’s delusion of
grandeur.
He has betrayed the trust of his
best friend Jean Roland Elie. Valme conspired
to narrow this humble citizen into the
worse nightmare of his life, now Jean
Roland Elie is a fugitive and Valme
did
not have to repay him a $7000 loan that
he took from
a scholarship fund created by Elie to help Haitians who
like to further their education in
Russia.
In
the last few weeks, I have received
several phone calls from religious and
business leaders as well as other
members of the Haitian community to
express support to my cause, others
called to advise me to be careful
because of the threats and verbal
attacks made by Pierre Paul Joas and his
partners in crime and others called to
inquire about my decision to keep a long
silence in this war.
There
is no question about it; you have the
right to know why I decided to use other
forms of media rather than Haitian radio
programming to share information and to
take strong positions on issues that are
affecting my community:
All I did that made me a
target to all kinds of attacks and
accusations was requesting an
explanation about order # A0983409
issued by the Massachusetts State
Commissioner of Bank Mortgage Lender and
Broker on June 4, 2009, which required
Elohim Mortgage, LLC to cease and
desist.
As
Pierre Paul Joas was an agent who
represented Elohim
Mortgage LLC in Somerville MA, during the time when the
order was issued and he is the business
and economic analyst at Radio Vwa Lakay,
I found it suspicious that neither
Pierre Paul Joas nor Serge Claude Valme
ever mentioned this serious incident in
the “Rapo Espesyal” special
report or in “Kalandabanda”. These
men are public figures and radio
personalities in the Creole radio programming;
I have the right as a sponsor of their
program to question their
integrity.
Let
me put it bold and precise. Joas and
Valme are angry because their main objective
is to take advantage of the weak in the
darkness, and my objective as an
educator as well as a preacher is to be a
beacon to help my compatriots find their
path through their American journey. I
believe in empowering my Haitian
brothers and sisters through education.
This is the reason why I established the
Mattapan School of Technology, an adult
vocational school
to teach people English, citizenship, computer technology and assist them
in many ways through a smooth transition
and integration into
mainstream America. As a result, our
community is not the same. I make it
more difficult for the crooks to operate
freely and continue to bully and exploit
the new
comers. Now I am paying the bitter price for
my good deeds but I praise the Lord for
this unique opportunity.
Those
who arrived in this community over
the past few years, I’m sure Joas’s
demeanor at Radio Vwa Lakay stuns you.
For those of us who have been here for a
long time, we all know Joas has always
been a bandit, a liar and a deceiver.
Nevertheless, this is a free society
Joas can choose to portray himself as a
gentleman or as a firebrand to the community. Of course, we expect
adults to be a model for the younger
generation; unfortunately, this is not
always the case. We certainly need more
reasonable citizens that will not be an
embarrassment for our society.
Joas
is not a lawyer nor a representative on
any authorized non-profit agency, he is
operating an immigration scam at
490 Broadway street, #6 Somerville, MA.
where he charges $700 from his customer,
to fill an immigration
form and $50 to translate a birth certificate.
Sometime Joas promised them an immigrant
visa even if they are not qualified for
any immigration benefit. He charges $25 for notary public.
Most individuals who provide notary
public service do it free.
During
the late 80’s when the Haitian
community lost White Stadium because of
Pierre Paul Joas’s bizarre management
as one of the leaders of the Haitian
Soccer League, Joas's management team
donated several fake checks to the city
of Boston for the use of the White
Stadium. We all agreed to give the
man a second chance but we never forgot. Even when Pierre Paul Joas was promoting a super machine that
he had in his office to analyze and
extend the life span of people, I still
considered a third chance for the man
because I was left with the impression
that he was tormented by a middle age
crisis.
When
I found out that Joas was deeply
involved in the mortgage scam that sent
so many hard working Haitian families
into shelters, I was shocked.
This man cannot live like an honest
person.
Today, I am outraged to find out that
Valme and Joas are trying to divert the
attention of the community from the real
issues by attacking my reputation
instead of apologizing to their victims
and bringing closure to their painful
experiences.
I
am appalled by the hypocrisy and the
malicious method that these individuals
are using in the Haitian radio
programming and those who tolerate them
out of fear or for pity opportunity. The
moment that I realized Serge Claude
Valme was a corrupt individual, I was
horrified and I immediately decided to
use other means of communication to pass
information rather than continue to
share a microphone with a demagogue with
no conviction.
The
following are only a few of many
disgraceful incidents that happened in
our community during a long period from
2008 to 2011, in which Serge Claude
Valme or Pierre Paul Joas were directly
involved or in some way supported and
managed to keep it under wraps to avoid
a public outrage in the community.
It
is not a secret that Valme is promoting
the unlawful lottery called “borlette”
in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts,
yet he wants to be the “Mr. Clean”
that is chasing the bad guys. In the
meantime, he is making a fortune
promoting gangsters.
A
recent incident linked to Pierre Paul
Joas and Serge Claude Valme, is the
legendary "Solutions Plus" that
pledged to create many millionaires in
the community. The condition is to
invest $500. then some time later, you
will have access to a business
solution that will make you a
millionaire. Last
year, a man knows only as Jean Pierre, ,the CEO of
"Business
Plus" said during a business show co-host
with Valme : “If you sign up and pay the
$500, you will make a monthly salary
twice higher than a MBA Harvard
graduate,” and supposedly, you would
not have to do anything else but
find 10 more imbeciles who are
willing to give $500 each.
That
was easy for the “Rapo Espesyal”
radio super stars. Serge Claude Valme
jumped blindly in this shady deal with
hopes of becoming a millionaire. Within
a few weeks, many people went to deposit
their $500 at his Mattapan Store Plus. Shortly afterwards, the
secret business solution turned
out to be a box of soap and tooth paste,
Dollar Tree style products, that was
shipped to the investors to be used and
resold to their friends.
It soon
became clear to investors that it was
just another scam like Amway and
QuickStar where the organization prays
on individuals who are struggling
financially and makes them believe that
they will become millionaires.
They give them a nice executive
title, have them attend meetings and
give them speaking opportunities,
however, they are never compensated for
their efforts and they never become
millionaires.
At
no time did the “economist” of the
community, Pierre Paul Joas, try to help
his listeners become aware of this
fraudulent deal. Instead, the special
reports(Rapo Espesyal) continued to accuse pastors who
are, according to Joas and Valme,
swindling the worshippers of their
churches by collecting nickels and
quarters to pay rent, gas and
electricity for the churches of the
Lord. On the other hand, Valme is
promoting an eternal unlawful
fundraising to support his private
business.
To
every investor’s surprise, Business
Solutions quickly changed phone numbers
and reappeared under a new umbrella.
Radio Vwa Laky has continued to offer a
platform to the crook and victims are
too afraid of the Vwa Lakay’s powerful
gang to ask for justice. You can count
on me, I will speak on your behalf
because I am not afraid.
The
two associates knew that Business
Solutions was a scam, and they never
made any effort to denounce it, on the
contrary, they managed to make a fortune
swindling thousands of dollars from less
fortunate Haitian compatriots.
Although
the list is long, let’s consider this
last one. In 2010, Just a few months after the
earthquake in Haiti, during a time where
most Haitians were still mourning their
loved ones, Valme associated with
an individual named Anrino
Destinoble in a long distance telephone
sting, $500 for one year of unlimited long
distance calls to Haiti. I personally called
Serge Claude Valme to warn him that deal
was too good to be true. I advised him
not to receive Destinoble’s clients at
his Mattapan Store Plus. Valme replied that
Destinoble represented a global company
located in Washington , DC. A simple
Google search revealed
that this “global company” did not
exist; it was a small business registered as a DBA under
Anrino Destinoble name with
the city of Boston. I shared the
information with Valme. He never said
anything about it on his “Rapo
Espesyal”. He instead continued to
accept his 50% profit from every client
that signed up for that unlimited long
distance program. Later It turned out to be
another hoax. Valme kept his profit and
Destinoble packed his bags and returned
to Haiti. Many of our compatriots lost
their money.
All
of these scams happened under Pierre
Paul Joas watch as a special business
analyst for Radio Vwa Lakay and Tele
Kreyol. He never pointed a finger on any
of these unfortunate incidents that
directly affected this community.
I have to say that today I am
deeply disappointed by Valme's
misconducts. Most concerned members of the
Haitian community of Massacusetts feel the
same. I truly hoped that Vame remained a
guiding light of justice, a voice for
the newcomers like he used to be, but
unfortunately, today he has been
manipulated by his economic advisor,
Pierre Paul Joas. Valme has lost his
reputation, the most important asset
that he has built over many years.
The
pain that Joas and Valme have caused to
this community is irreparable. Many
people have lost their homes because of
high rate piggyback mortgages issued by
Pierre Paul via Elohim Mortgage. This is
the reason why Joas could not have the
courage to open his mouth and comment
on these
issues. His hands are dirty.
The
former CEO of Elohim Mortgage, Rev. D.
J. Fleurissaint, is not a repeat
offender, he is simply a great man who made mistakes in
the past. I am
asking my brothers and sisters to accept
and support the former CEO of Elohim
Mortgage. He has become a devoted man of
God, a great citizen who is helping many
Haitian refugees in their journey in the
United States of America.
According
to the minutes of the investigation the
Elohim mortgage agents were, in fact,
largely responsible for the failure of
the company. As a leader, the founder
and CEO of the company took full
responsibility, he did not admit any
wrong doing, he surrendered the license
to avoid tougher sanction . I am asking you to
keep him in your prayer, he was tested and turned his
back to the evil. He is now trying to
live up to the expectations of his
brothers and sisters. No need to mention
his name again, if you need an
experienced tax specialist, you have one
in your community.
Pierre
Paul Joas has not changed. While I am
writing this article, thousands of
people are sleeping in shelters because
of bad mortgages issued by Pierre Paul
Joas; he never shows any remorse, now he chose a new career making
fun of the church of the Lord and
persecuting Christians, he is a
night dancer and a
heartless brigand. Many taxi drivers are
now being audited because many years
ago, their tax returns were prepare by a
man involved in malicious deals that
triggered suspicion on anything that he
touched.
Many
people are depressed today because their
investment in Serge Claude Valme’s Solution
Plus company is doomed. Numerous
people ,who went to Valme’s Mattapan
office to buy one year unlimited long
distance telephone service, are waiting
for explanation because they never
received that service. Meanwhile,
Valme’s assets today are recently evaluated to
$1.3 millions dollars.
The
Haitian community
lost, Serge Claude Valme is the only
winner. Last year, Valme purchased a new
building in Brockton for nearly half a
million dollars adding to several others
that he already had in Roxbury, Lynn,
etc. meanwhile he is asking people
in the community to help him paying the
bill for the radio.
These
are the issues that are needed to be
addressed in Vwa Lakay Kalandabanda.
Poor
Valme! One of his accomplices told me he
is not a crook like his business
partners are, he claimed that Valme is
very immature and a naïve peasant who
is lost in a modern capitalist word.
I would agree with that
suggestion but, in fact, Valme greatly
profited off these scams better than any
of his accomplices. Who would believe
that a man could become a millionaire in
two years from a $500 investment or from
a small convenient store?
Is
it the responsibility of a business and
economic advisor to enlighten a
community on those important issues?
Pierre Paul Joas failed to take his
responsibility at Radio Vwa Lakay as
well as in Tele-Kreyol where he has
weekly shows on business and economy. I
am challenging Pierre Paul Joas to
respond to my request, do not
try to bully the community.
To
all members of the Haitian community, I
am still there fighting on your side. I
hold my pledge of allegiance to this
community. I will never let you down,
and you can always count on me. As a man
I may make mistakes, if I do I will come
to you and beg your pardon. I believe
that a manmust live to the
highest established moral values and
principles adopted by our society and I
will continue to share information with
courage and dignity.
