Father Gabriel , a popular Haitian priest of St Angela is allegedly accused of sexual misconduct, according to worshipers. This news comes as a surprise to everyone in the Haitian community. Father Gabriel was known as an outstanding priest and was very involved with the Youth Group of the church, now many parents are concerned. St Angela has been serving the Mattapan community for more than 100 years. The Archdiocese of Boston released the following:

The Archdiocese of Boston today announced the revocation of Rev. Gabriel Michel's faculties to perform public ministry while in the Archdiocese of Boston as a result of receiving allegations of adult sexual misconduct. Fr. Michel, a priest of the Archdiocese of Cap-Haitian in Haiti, has served in the Archdiocese of Boston since 2002, most recently as parochial vicar at St. Angela's Parish in Mattapan and Coordinator of the Archdiocese of Boston's Haitian Apostolate. Fr. Michel also has served as a chaplain at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

The Archdiocese has notified the Most Reverend Louis Kebreau, SDB, Archbishop of Cap-Haitian concerning this matter.
